Gundogs are popular dogs and yet most of them won’t be “working” in the field, they will simply be pets.
Many gundog owners automatically assume that gundog training is exclusively for people who want to work their dogs in the shooting field, and pick up dead birds.
Or to tire out their dog they have to go for long walks, or running in fields chasing a ball.
This is not the case.
Gun dog training is not competitive but it is about meeting a set standard of training, and seeing your dog progress in their training.
If you would like a well mannered, obedient dog, then this course will help you to achieve that.
On this course we help you to get that all important recall, and walk your dog nicely on a loose lead, Focus on you with other dogs around and much more…
Our focus lies in helping you understand your dog’s natural abilities, fostering a deeper connection between you and your pet, and exploring the skills inherent to their breed while having fun.
Owning a gun dog is also about a partnership, and getting your dog to do things because they want to, not because they have to!
Gun dogs are intelligent and like to learn.
A tired dog is a happy dog.
