Puppy Foundation & Socialisation Course. Controlled, safe, and positive exposure for puppies aged 12–24 weeks.
Pet Gun Dog Foundation. Courses: Building exceptional focus, drive control, loose lead walking and reliable recall.
1-2-1 Home Training: Tailored, individual support right where you need it most.

We regularly help with:

✔ General obedience

You receive handouts, throughout the course, so you always have something to refer back to once the course has finished.

Our classes are small so everyone receives personal attention.

All training is reward-based.

Our training venue at The Old School in Ulnes Walton offers car parking, and a field for outdoor training sessions, which provides us with a versatile training environment.

We also have toilet facilities.

Our Courses

Puppy Foundation & Socialisation Course

This course is for puppies aged (12-24) weeks old. On this course we teach you how to train your puppy the basic requirements for good manners. We teach you how to connect with your puppy, how to stop bad habits like: jumping up, how to socialise your puppy correctly so they grow up to be a well mannered, confident dog. "Pet" Gun Dog Foundation Courses

Beginner & Level 1Gun Dog Foundation Courses. Gun dog breeds are the most popular breed and are bred to work, but many will only be "pets" so on this course we help you to see what your gun dog is able to achieve, with simple skills and games to do every day, helping them to be calmer and happier. Having just completed the Puppy course I couldn't recommend it highly enough.Weve learnt so much and Kathryn has given us many skills to practise and build on.She has a really good way with the dogs, demonstrates and explains things very clearly and gives handouts each lesson so you can practise at home.

Having recently completed (successfully) the Foundation Gun Dog Training with my 6-month old lab; I can't recommend Kathryn enough. I couldn't recommend Four Paws Dog Training enough.I have used them four years ago with my first dog and then again more recently attended the puppy classes with my newest addition. Kathryn Is brilliant and extremely knowledgable, both my dogs loved attending the classes and both myself and the dogs have learnt lots to create the basic foundations of the training.

I have recently taken our 9 month old Lab pup for gun dog training and we have made great strides in the few weeks of the course. Great content and well presented and explained . I will also be booking Buddy on the advanced course in March. Thanks to Kathryn at Four Paws !

Recently had a 121 with Kathryn and our working cocker spaniel George,what a difference it made he is much more attentive, and the exercises Kathryn showed us have really improved his behaviour. Kathryn also showed us some basic gundog work to do with him, which have helped us. Would highly recommend if you have a busy gun dog in your life like we have. !

HUGE thanks to Kathryn for our home session recently, our Golden Retriever needed some basic training, and having a Golden Retriever herself we knew she could help us, and she did! the exercises she showed us helped us no end, would highly recommend.
